Snapshots of Margaret River
the best way to get a feel of what the real Margaret River is all about
If you are visiting Margaret River for the first time and wanting to know why Margaret River was voted by Lonely Planet as No 1 best destination in Asia’s Pacific 2019 .. then my Snapshot day tour will help explain why.
This is how it works…
• An early start to catch the morning light and explore the stunning Margaret River region. See where early pioneers settled on the banks of the river and follow its black granite cascades all the way to the Indian Ocean.
• The river is home to our endemic and rare fresh water lobster or otherwise known as the Hairy Back Maron. A delicacy you will find in selected local restaurants.
• We arrive at the River Mouth beach and the infamous “Surfers Point”, home to the Margaret River Pro during the World Surf League circuit. (Late April) The huge swells are mesmerising and great photo opportunities to see our local and international surfers in action.
• Did someone mention coffee time? You’ll love this place..!!
• Batteries recharged our next stop is a scenic vista hike along the infamous Cape to Cape track. We follow the spectacular Limestone cliffs which overlook the Humpback Whales seasonal migration, wildflowers & orchids in spring, kangaroos and birds of prey are some of the natural flora and fauna that could be seen along the way. You never know what we may stumble upon!
• Must be lunch time. A short drive and time to order food and taste some local wines.
You’ll be be surprised how wine styles have changed over the years. A great opportunity to buy a bottle or two of your favourite for your evening “R & R”..ie.. relax and reflect on your day.
• Not done yet… We go Off Road deep into the Karri forest. This is where I blind fold you to keep the location of an ancient spiritual wonderland a secret. Some say Jurassic!!
• Thats it! A Snap shot of Margaret River.
Memories that will last longer than a day.
